1. You Invest In The Kingdom Here In Pearland:
Shadycrest is actively involved in supporting local organizations and ministries such as Christian Helping Hands and Family Promise - a ministry to homeless families.
This year was Shadycrest's first year to participate in Family Promise. We hosed families for 14 nights serving 28 meals including Thanksgiving dinner with all the trimmings!
Guest Jessica told us, "This is one of our favorite churches, y'all are just so real here."
2. You Invest In The Kingdom Beyond Our Own Backyard:
Over the years, Shadycrest has sent support to the State Outreach, North American Mission Board and the IMB. We have sent over 10 teams to Bulgaria to minister to the leaders there and make the gospel known.
Pastor Grozdan of Holy Trinity Christian Church says "God has used these trips in an amazing way to provide access for the mission teams to remote Muslim villages and towns. As a result, we have been able to run several years in a row a Summer Camp for Special Needs children and their families and we have seen dozens of parents for three years in a row to make a profession of faith and pray to receive Christ as their personal savior."
3. It Is Your Spiritual Act Of Worship:
At Shadycrest our goal is to help people take a step closer to God. We know that giving your tithes and offerings consistently is a goal for everyone engaged in Kingdom work. In addiction, as believers we know that we choose to give cheerfully as in 2 Corinthians 9:7 the Word says, "Each person should do as he has decided in his heart - not reluctantly or out of compulsion, since God loves a cheerful giver."
